Yes, online training and proctored exams are available and fully accepted.

AAA Food Handler’s Food Protection Manager Certification is accredited by the ANAB and the Conference for Food Protection (CFP). It’s nationally accepted and recognized across the United States.

They monitor food safety operations, train staff, and ensure compliance with the Florida food code.

It helps prevent foodborne illness, ensures compliance, and boosts career opportunities.

You’ll need to complete an approved course in nutrition and foodservice management and pass the Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) exam.

AAA Food Handler’s Food Manager Program meets the requirements for Certified Food Service Manager Requirement to Comply with CFR § 483.60 Food and Nutrition Services.

Under Rule 64E-11.012 of the Florida Administrative Code, food managers responsible for storing, preparing, displaying, or serving food to the public must earn certification within 30 days of starting their job. Certification is obtained by passing a food manager exam through a Florida Department of Health-approved provider like AAA Food Handler.

While training is not mandatory, taking a food manager course is recommended to help pass the test. If an establishment has 3 or more employees on duty at once—or serves a highly susceptible population—at least one certified manager must be on-site at all times. Otherwise, one certified manager responsible for all operating hours is sufficient, even if not physically present.

Certain establishments, such as bars, lounges, civic organizations, theaters, and school-operated food services, may be exempt. Always check with your local health department for additional requirements.

This is a great training all the way around. It is long and a little arduous, but well worth it. It is very informative and simple to understand. The training is divided into 10 sessions, each of which is further broken down into various sections. These sections are very straightforward. Very easy to take notes and follow through. The only negative thing I have to say is that if you miss something being said, you can’t scroll backwards; you have to repeat that lesson of that section.

Thorough but needs work

November 16, 2025

I found the course to be standard in almost all the information provided however, particularly at the earlier points in the course, I found several instances of information that should have been taught concurrently was split up. This non-linear dissemination made written note taking quite problematic and impeded what could be a more natural flow throughout the lessons. The topic that this was most prevalent in was the discussion of Bio Hazards including discussion of various pathogens. I specifically recall a lesson review with questions regarding Trichinella and Shiga Toxin when they had not yet been covered in the course. Immediately following that review section, those topics were then covered. Outside of those issues I found the course to be rather buggy. I used an iPad A16 (2025) with the latest software update as of today 11/16/25. Also as a note, it would be very helpful to rewind each video along the slider bar to a specific point rather than having to replay the entire video.

The importance of keep food safe to avoid any outbreak. The importance of keeping the food facilities clean and safe. The importance of give training to your staff and record and report everything. The importance of times and temperatures in a food facility.
