Numerous professionals nationwide have already earned and renewed their card with AAA Food Handler — a trusted name in food safety training.
The Washington Food Manager Certification is a certification accredited by ANAB and the Conference for Food Protection (CFP) required to demonstrate that individuals responsible for overseeing food safety operations in a food establishment have received advanced training in food safety principles and practices, as mandated by the state.

Food Manager Certification helps improve your food safety knowledge, making you more qualified for managerial positions in the food industry. Employers also often require it to ensure compliance with local health codes and regulations.
To become a certified Food Manager, complete an ANAB accredited online certification course, pass the exam, and submit proof of completion. Our Food Manager Certification is accepted in Washington and meets state guidelines.
While Washington does not require Food Manager Certification by law, many local jurisdictions and employers may require it. Check with your local health department to see if it’s needed in your area.
Yes! The entire Food Manager Certification course and exam are available online. Our flexible program allows you to start, stop, and resume the course at your convenience.
The certification remains valid for five years. After this period, you must renew it by retaking the exam.
The cost of the Food Manager Certification depends on the package selected, with prices ranging from $49.95 to $119.95. Each package provides access to training materials, sample test questions, and one free retake.
While it’s not mandatory, we highly recommend taking Food Safety Certification course before the exam to ensure you understand all the critical food safety concepts. The comprehensive course covers key topics like sanitation, temperature control, and preventing cross-contamination.
The course typically takes around 4 hours to complete, but since it’s online, you can go at your own pace and revisit sections if necessary. The exam takes approximately 2 hours.
If you fail the exam, don’t worry! With most of our packages, you get one free retest. To ensure you’re prepared, we recommend completing the full training and using the sample test questions before attempting the exam again.
Food Protection Manager certification shows a manager understands key safety practices and regulations. It helps reduce the risk of foodborne illness, supports safe food handling, and boosts a food establishment’s credibility. In many areas, including Washington, it’s also required by law.
In most states, managers must have a Food Protection Manager certification accredited by the ANAB or an equivalent. That said, it’s essential to check with your state or local health department, like in Washington, to understand who needs certification and under what circumstances.

This is a very easy way to get your managers certification. You can do this a your own pace.
The videos were very informative, lomg enough and very clear.
Sure, it wasn’t the best training of my life, but it wasn’t bad.
after tacking the classes, you realize how much you really did not know and all the hidden dangers in a kitchen . learning how care and safely serve people gives me more confidence in success everything has been easy and well explained.
Very easy training sessions that walk you through each module, and the tests in the middle are very helpful to prepare for the exam.
My overall review to the course is I like how they gave us mini quizzes while watching the video because I’m more of a hands-on learner so practicing my brain in between videos helped me. There was a lot to learn but I do feel like they put too much in module two of the module directory.
It is a great training and covered everything.
