How to Take Your Exam

- When you are ready to take the Food Manager Certification Exam, Click the “Take Exam” button on the top right area of the course.
- You may use any desktop/laptop available as long as it meets minimum technical standards (see below)
- Make sure you are using Google Chrome take the exam.
- ***OR YOU WILL GET A BLANK SCREEN AND WILL BE UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THE PROCTOR.
- Once you click “Take Exam”, it will no longer be clickable.
- You will be connected to a Proctor who will monitor you taking your exam. Exam Sessions closed early or rescheduled due to student will incur a $25 Reschedule Fee.
- Please make sure to set aside up to 2.5 hours to take your exam. Exams can be taken 24 hours a day.
- Proctor connection times are typically a few minutes and rarely take up to 15 minutes. Please do not leave the page while waiting.
- Valid government issued ID such as Driver’s license, Passport, School ID with picture, etc required to verify identity
- If you feel you need assistance with starting the exam, you may bring someone of your own choosing to help you set up the exam. Once the exam is ready to start, they must leave.

***Diamond Package Holders: In order to qualify for the Free Retest, you must complete the ENTIRE online training and sample tests BEFORE taking the initial Food Manager Exam

Systems Requirements for Remote Exam Proctoring:

- Must have a Computer, Laptop, or Chromebook with good internet connection (no hotspots or internet tethering from cell phone)
- To test the internet go to – https://www.speedtest.net/ – as long as you have over 1 MBPS upload and download you will be good to go.
- Functioning Web Cam and Microphone required (Mobile devices such as your cell phone or tablet will not work)
- Must use Google Chrome as the Web Browser (CANNOT use Safari, Mozilla, Microsoft Explorer/Edge, etc)
  Mobile Devices such as ipads, cell phone, tablets cannot be used for the exam
- Your mobile phone will be used as a 2nd camera for the exam. Make sure you have enough BATTERY on both your computer and phone.

Screen share and recording will be used during the exam.
- For Mac users, please make sure this extra setting is turned on.

About the Exam

Your Food Manager exam will consist of 80 multiple choice questions and a passing grade of 75%
Your exam assessment of PASS/FAIL will be provided immediately after the exam is finished, no score will be provided.
Upon successful passing, a certificate will be immediately issued.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

Refunds and cancellations may be requested within 7 days of purchase if these conditions are met:

(If training was purchased) The examinee did not complete more than 25% of the training course
The examinee did not schedule or miss an exam session with the remote proctor (MonitorEdu)
The certification exam was not taken
The examinee did not violate the Examinee Terms and Conditions or Examination Rules
