FMC COURSE

May 19, 2025

My first FMCC was back in 2006. Although I’m not a fan of having to take any type of tests, we’ll see how this one goes! I have found this course to be a bit more interesting than the previous ones taken. It goes quickly, is easy to understand, but I probably could have done without the “feeling worms move in their mouth” part. Other than that, two thumbs up!!!

Yes, Arizona requires restaurants and food businesses to have a person in charge who can demonstrate food safety knowledge. One way to meet this requirement is by obtaining a Food Manager Certification.

While certification is not always required, food service managers can obtain the Food Protection Manager Certification by passing an accredited food safety exam, such as those approved by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB).

To legally sell food in Arizona, you may need:

  • A food manager’s certification
  • A food handler’s license
  • A food facility health permit

  • Date of preparation

Buyers should ensure that food is safely prepared and transported.

Yes. A Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) is also referred to as a Food Manager or person in charge and is responsible for maintaining food safety standards.
