Education is the best tool to prevent, minimize, or eliminate foodborne illnesses and food hazards.
Training helps reduce or eliminate food safety hazards before they become major issues.
Reducing food safety complaints will create a happier workplace and in turn increase productivity.
Numerous professionals nationwide have already earned and renewed their card with AAA Food Handler — a trusted name in food safety training.
The Food Handler Certificate Course is designed to educate employees working in food service about the best practices for food safety. It covers essential topics like preventing foodborne illnesses, proper food handling, sanitization procedures, temperature control, etc. This course is required for all food workers handling unpackaged or potentially hazardous food in Colorado.
After completing and passing the final exam, you will receive your Colorado Food Handler Card. This Food handler card improves the completion of the food safety course and can be presented to employers as required.
Once you purchase the course, you will have access to all course materials—three months from the date of purchase. This allows you to revisit the course and refresh your knowledge anytime during your access period.
There is no difference—both terms refer to the document you receive after completing a recognized food safety course. Some counties or employers may refer to it as a “card,” but the certificate serves the same purpose: it proves you’ve completed an approved food safety course. In many cases, the card is simply a printed or wallet-sized version of the certificate.

A Food Handler Card boosts your credibility, helps your resume stand out, and can lead to leadership roles or advanced certifications in food safety.
A personal and portable Food Handler Card allows you to carry it to new employers. However, verify that it’s accepted in your new location, as requirements may vary.
Under Colorado’s Cottage Food Law, you can sell certain non-potentially hazardous foods that do not require refrigeration. These include:
The AAA Food Handler Card meets the food safety training requirement under Colorado’s Cottage Food Law if the course is accredited by the ANAB. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) accepts ANAB-accredited training as valid for cottage food producers. Always confirm that the AAA course includes ANAB accreditation to ensure it meets Colorado’s legal requirements.
To comply with Colorado’s Cottage Foods Act, you must complete an ANSI / ANAB Accredited Food Handler Course or state-approved food safety training course. One way to meet this requirement is by earning a Food Handler certificate through an ANSI accredited provider like AAA Food Handler. Their online course is ANSI-accredited, meets Colorado’s standards, and typically takes about 1.5 hours to finish.

Muy bueno para el personal que trabaja en los restaurantes
Easy to follow. Rather long.
The final exam had some confusing questions
Re-iterate desire for a re-wind instead of restart button. Also, would’ve liked a short area after every module to practice what I just learned, like a mini quiz.
Wish there was a rewind button instead of a restart, but overall it is still a good website.
The instructor knows the subject-matter. She is also a fantastic trainer.

Was difficult to take notes and go back to certain points made since you could not reverse the video and anytime you missed a point you would have to start the whole section over. Otherwise helpful and informative.
It can be daunting to just think about it. However, breaking it down to bite-sized instructions made this much more doable and convenient.
Fabulous :))
Simple but very interesting
The course was great. It was easy to follow, at the right pace, and engaging.
Appreciate that explanations are given for why it is important to do things in a certain way. Understanding why it is important makes it easier to remember, and makes me more conscientious about doing it that way. There was one question about trichinosis that was asked in a quiz before the topic was covered in the next section.
This course was very informative and easy to follow along. I believe this course will provide all businesses handling food and beverages better overall customer service and safety.

.
I think this course is very valuable and meaningful. The teaching information included in the course is very rich and comprehensive, and it is very helpful for people who want to learn about food safety or want to prepare for a food safety certificate.
Found the course to be informative and easy to use.
Good
Ok course. moving from one module to next took too long
GREAT
great course, highly recommend
It was good
This was a pretty good course, learned new things and reviewed the basics. I think it’s important all food serving places hold a food manager license because of protocols that could be forgotten and a reminder doesn’t hurt anyone. One thing though, if the website developers could make it where we can move back and forward on each slide that would be very helpful. Besides that I find that the course is neatly put together and the review after every topic is good.
