There are questions in the reviews that cover material from the next module. So some best guesses were necessary in those cases.
Long
When you are told that there are 40 questions for the final exam, I can’t help but feel I have to take as many notes as I can. And when going through the modules, the narrator speaks too fast, that you can’t take notes while she’s speaking, because she moves on the to the next sentence(s).
And the problem is that when you need to pause to take notes, you have to pause it, write, and then unpause. And though the entire course, what should have taken 1.5 – 2 hours, ends up taking you much longer than that to ensure you don’t miss anything. And if you DO end up missing some information, there’s no rewind feature, there’s no drag and drop feature, there’s no feature to slow the narration down, or anything else. If you miss something, you have to restart the entire module.
I don’t know why not a single one of the following solutions have been implemented, but it would be great if just one of these could be implemented. You could 1) Implement a feature to rewind 5 – 10 seconds. You could 2) Implement a feature to drag your cursor to a certain point in the video, like on YouTube. 3) You could implement a feature to slow down the narration so users could actually keep up with the video and wouldn’t have to pause or re-watch several of your modules.
What I also find annoying is that, if you change the volume, or turn on the captions on a module, those settings are ONLY for that single module. After you click on the next module, the captions turn off again, and your volume goes back to what it was. Why would it be designed like that, and not be designed to carryover to every single module? It is just so annoying to use.
