Food Handler Card – What is it and How to Get Yours?

Purchase the Course

Once you have reviewed your state’s requirements, the next step is to purchase the training course. Many options are available at AAA Food Handler, including an online self paced course  accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Course Duration: 1.5 Hours

Choose a course approved by your state that fits your schedule and budget here. 

Complete the Course and pass the Exam

After completing the training course, you must take an exam to demonstrate your food safety knowledge. The exam is administered online. It will cover temperature control, cross contamination, and personal hygiene topics. The passing score is 70%, and you have two chances to pass the final exam

Receive Your Food Handler Card

If you pass the exam, you will immediately receive a certificate of completion. This certificate will be your food handler certification, showing that you have completed the required food safety training. You will receive a digital version that you can print or display on your phone.

Save it or Display it.

The modules had me bored to tears with highly repetitive and redundant information. The functionality of the course was clunky, corny, slow-loading, and glitchy. The closed captions didn’t work either, which made it difficult as I don’t have the ability to hear things coming from my computer very well.

Overall, I’m disappointed I lost 8 hours of my life I wont be able to get back to take this class, but I am happy it is finally over.
