Reducing food safety complaints will create a happier workplace and in turn increase productivity.
Numerous professionals nationwide have already earned and renewed their card with AAA Food Handler — a trusted name in food safety training.
The Massachusetts Food Handlers Card shows that you’ve completed food safety training and understand the basic workplace practices for handling food safely.
You’ll need to take an ANAB approved online Food Handler course, complete the training, and pass a 40-question final exam with a 70% or higher score. Once you pass, your card will be available to download and print immediately.
The course takes about 1.5 hours and is entirely self-paced. You can start, pause, and complete it whenever it works best for your schedule.
You’ll learn about safe food handling practices, proper hygiene, time and temperature controls, cross-contamination prevention, cleaning and sanitizing procedures, and how to help prevent foodborne illness.
No problem, you’ll have two attempts to pass the final exam.
Your Food Handler Card is typically accepted for 3 years, but you should check with your employer or local health department to confirm the specific renewal timeframe in your area.
The course is 100% online and available 24/7. You can complete it on your phone, tablet, or computer whenever and wherever convenient.
The Food Handler training is in English and Spanish to support various food workers across Massachusetts.
The Food Handler Course is available in English and Spanish, making it accessible for various food service professionals.
Anyone who handles open food, food-contact surfaces, utensils, or equipment in a food service setting, including restaurants, cafeterias, food trucks, and grocery stores, should complete this training.

In Massachusetts, individuals may sell non-potentially hazardous, shelf-stable foods prepared in a residential kitchen. Permitted items include baked goods without perishable toppings or fillings, fruit preserves, candies, granola, spice blends, and other safe products to store at room temperature.
After completing the Food Handler Course, you’ll be better prepared for entry-level positions such as cook, prep cook, food server, barista, dishwasher, deli staff, or grocery associate in restaurants, cafés, bakeries, food trucks, and more.

Excellent
Good
easy to learn and remember with visuals
The course is very good and helpful. I hope the website can also add a Chinese version in addition to English and Spanish, so that more Chinese learners can study more easily.
Quick and Painless
One section of your module froze up and I could not hear the end of it even when I went back and restarted the module, also your speaker stated 125 when the module said 135 on a section.
Easy, informative. Great class.

Thanks for clear Instructions
I found this training cumbersome and complicated.
Training seems to be thorough and well paced. I guess we’ll see when the test is scored.

As a returning student to AAA’s RBS Training program, I would have to say it never disappoints! Very informative and “to the point” information to ensure a safe work environment amongst alcohol served businesses. Thanks again AAA for a reliable training experience to ensure safe and effective alcohol service practices!
My ABC Training Provider help me a lot with the process of renewing my certificate, thank you again.
There are so many things outside of the realm of just a service professional that are covered in this 3 hour module. There should be separate modules for just service people and the actual licensee.
The information is fine. But it is presented with a horrible AI voiceover at a pace that can not be adjusted for faster or slower learners. There is no option to simply read the material. So, if you are a learner that does no do well with a lecture format (especially from a robot that uses inaccurate, disjointed, pacing, cadence, and pauses) then this will be maddening for you. Additionally, it is extremely ablest .

Class was extremely basic hitting all mandatory topics. Video segments “modules” are 30 secs – 2 mins each requiring you to click 3 separate areas before moving to the next slide in the same topic. Time consuming and pointless. Could not rewind to hit a point again, rather rewatch whole module. Videos on Food Storage/Safety suddenly went silent and when they began to replay, they were overlayed with previous slide sound and current slide sound.
great course with tons of informative information that is super important to know for food handlers!
great instructions
It was fast and easy
Definitely informative and can help someone work more safely at work and at home.
